Marissa Beck-Dean from IB Haines City has received the German Embassy Teacher of Excellence Award for 2025.
The honor is presented by the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). It recognizes early-career German teachers for “excellence in teaching, creativity, and outstanding dedication” to the profession.
The Teacher of Excellence Award is presented to just three “especially outstanding” American educators every year. Beck-Dean will be recognized during the AATG’s awards presentation in November.
“We are so proud that Mrs. Beck-Dean is part of our World Languages Department,” said Taina Corcelles, a PCPS curriculum specialist. “We celebrate this accomplishment as a reflection of the passion and dedication she brings to our team. This is a remarkable achievement.”
